Activities, Facilities and Services
- Showering

Showering facilities will be provided for individuals wishing to have a shower whilst at the centre. Our trained care staff have access to a private, fully accessible specialist shower-room and will provide bathing assistance if required. Respect to individuals gender, culture and beliefs will be given at all times, as will the maintenance of privacy and dignity. A fee will be charged to cover the cost of providing this service.
- Activities

A variety of activities, e.g. crafts, knitting, sewing, card making, painting, games/quizzes, board games, musical movement and lots more are offered on each day. Regular trips out will also be offered to provide the opportunity to visit different places and events of interest.
A fee will be charged to cover the cost of providing materials for some of the activities, and the cost of the trips out. If a fee is to be charged to cover the costs associated with providing activities or trips out, it will always be notified clearly in advance.
All the activities will be varied and individualised to suit the client's preferences. Our care staff will provide clients and their carers with the opportunity to find out about the activities we have on offer, and a weekly activity programme will be incorporated into individual care plans. Clients will be encouraged to follow this, but there will be no compulsion to do so.
- Personal Care

Information will be provided about hairdressers, dentists, opticians, chiropodists, and other personal care services. Care staff will be happy to arrange visits for anyone wishing to use these services whilst at the Centre.
- Health Care

Care staff will work with clients and their carers to ensure they take their medication correctly and safely at the appropriate times.
- Spiritual Care

Information regarding the facilities available for worship will be made available to all clients. Care staff will endeavour to assist and lead worship/prayer times as required, and will help to make arrangements for representatives from the client's Mosque to visit.
- Disabled Access

The Day Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, with a lift available if needed. It also has a wheelchair accessible toilet and shower-room.
